Official Rules — US$3,000 Launch Week Challenge

BEDSIDE BLITZ US$3,000 LAUNCH WEEK CHALLENGE

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

By entering the Bedside Blitz US$3,000 Launch Week Challenge (the "Challenge"), each participant agrees to these Official Rules (the "Rules") and to the decisions made by the Bedside Blitz team in administering the Challenge.

1. Challenge Organizer

The Challenge is organized and administered by the individuals currently operating Bedside Blitz (the "Bedside Blitz team").

Bedside Blitz is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or administered by Instagram, TikTok, Meta, Google, Apple, X, YouTube, or any other social-media or technology platform. Those platforms are not responsible for administering the Challenge or awarding its prizes.

2. Challenge Period

The Challenge begins when the first official Launch Week Challenge case becomes available and ends when the seventh and final official Launch Week Challenge case closes, as displayed within Bedside Blitz (the "Challenge Period").

The Challenge Period consists of seven consecutive Daily Entry Periods. Each Daily Entry Period corresponds to one official Bedside Blitz daily case and begins when that case becomes available. It ends when that case closes, as displayed within Bedside Blitz.

Bedside Blitz server records are the official timekeeping system. Actions completed before or after an applicable deadline will not qualify for that Daily Entry Period.

The pre-launch waitlist remains open until Bedside Blitz closes waitlist registration or makes account registration generally available, whichever occurs first. To reserve the OG badge or qualify for pre-launch referral opportunities, a participant must join while the official pre-launch waitlist is accepting registrations.

3. Eligibility

The Challenge is open worldwide to legal residents of all countries and territories who:

  1. Have reached the age of majority where they live at the time of entry;
  2. Have a valid email address;
  3. Create and maintain no more than one Bedside Blitz account; and
  4. Comply with these Rules.

Members of the Bedside Blitz team, people directly involved in building or administering the Challenge, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible.

The Challenge is void wherever prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

4. Verified Account Requirement

A verified Bedside Blitz account is required for all Challenge entries to become valid. Creating an account and playing the official daily cases are free.

Participants must provide accurate information and maintain control of the email address associated with their account. A participant may not create or control multiple accounts, enter on behalf of another person, or transfer entries to another person.

Where a bonus depends on matching a waitlist email to an account email, Bedside Blitz will compare normalized versions of the addresses by removing leading or trailing spaces and ignoring capitalization differences.

5. Prizes

The total value of all prizes is US$3,000, divided as follows:

Grand Prize

One US$1,600 Grand Prize will be awarded after the Challenge Period.

Daily Prizes

Seven US$200 Daily Prizes will be awarded, with one Daily Prize associated with each of the seven Daily Entry Periods.

Prizes will normally be delivered by electronic transfer through Wise. If Wise cannot deliver to a winner's country or account, the Bedside Blitz team will use PayPal, direct bank transfer or another reasonably equivalent electronic payment method available to both parties. Payment will be sent within 30 calendar days after the winner is verified and provides the information reasonably required to deliver the prize.

Prizes are denominated in United States dollars. Winners are responsible for any taxes, fees, currency-conversion charges or reporting obligations associated with receiving a prize.

Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. The Bedside Blitz team may substitute an equivalent delivery method or a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize or delivery method becomes unavailable or impractical.

6. Daily Prize Entries

To receive one entry into a particular Daily Prize draw, an eligible participant must:

  1. Be signed into a verified Bedside Blitz account; and
  2. Complete that day's official Bedside Blitz daily case during the applicable Daily Entry Period.

A participant may receive no more than one Daily Prize entry per Daily Entry Period. Replaying, reviewing or reopening the same case does not create another entry.

Waitlist bonuses, referrals, scorecard generation, scorecard sharing, accuracy, confidence selection, response speed, streak, gameplay score and leaderboard position do not create additional Daily Prize entries or improve the odds of winning a Daily Prize.

A participant may win no more than one Daily Prize during the Challenge Period. A Daily Prize winner remains eligible for the Grand Prize.

7. Grand Prize Entries

Participants may earn Grand Prize entries through the methods below.

A. Daily Case Completions — Maximum 7 Entries

A participant receives one Grand Prize entry for each official daily case completed during the Challenge Period, up to seven entries.

Only the first valid completion of each day's official case counts. Gameplay score and leaderboard position do not affect the number or value of entries.

B. Waitlist Bonus — Maximum 1 Entry

A participant receives one Waitlist Bonus Entry if they:

  1. Join the official Bedside Blitz waitlist at https://bedsideblitz.com/waitlist while the pre-launch waitlist is accepting registrations;
  2. Use and verify a valid email address; and
  3. Create a verified Bedside Blitz account using the same email address no later than the end of the Challenge Period.

Submitting an email address to the waitlist reserves the bonus but does not activate the entry. The entry becomes valid only after the matching Bedside Blitz account is created and verified.

C. Pre-Launch Waitlist Referrals — Maximum 3 Entries

While the pre-launch waitlist is accepting registrations, a waitlist member may receive one Grand Prize entry for each qualifying new person referred through their unique waitlist referral link, up to three entries.

A pre-launch referral qualifies only if the referred person:

  1. Is a genuinely new Bedside Blitz waitlist member;
  2. Uses the participant's valid referral link or code;
  3. Joins while the pre-launch waitlist is accepting registrations;
  4. Verifies the referred email address; and
  5. Creates a verified Bedside Blitz account using that same email no later than the end of the Challenge Period.

A referral may be recorded as pending once the referred person joins and verifies their email. A pending referral is not an eligible Grand Prize entry until the referred person creates and verifies their Bedside Blitz account.

D. Launch Week Scorecard Referrals — Maximum 3 Entries

During the Challenge Period, a participant may receive one Grand Prize entry for each qualifying new player referred through their unique scorecard referral link or code, up to three entries.

A scorecard referral qualifies only if the referred person:

  1. Is a genuinely new Bedside Blitz user who did not previously have an account;
  2. Uses the participant's valid scorecard referral link or code;
  3. Creates and verifies a Bedside Blitz account during the Challenge Period; and
  4. Completes at least one official daily case during the Challenge Period.

Generating a scorecard, opening a sharing menu, copying a link or posting a scorecard does not itself create an entry. The referred player must complete all the qualifying actions above.

E. Maximum Grand Prize Entries

A participant may receive no more than fourteen Grand Prize entries:

  • Seven from daily case completions;
  • One Waitlist Bonus Entry;
  • Three Pre-Launch Waitlist Referral Entries; and
  • Three Launch Week Scorecard Referral Entries.

All valid Grand Prize entries have equal weight regardless of how they were earned.

8. Referral Conditions

The following conditions apply to all referrals:

  1. Each referred person may credit only one referrer and may qualify in only one referral category.
  2. A person credited as a pre-launch waitlist referral cannot later be counted again as a scorecard referral.
  3. Self-referrals are prohibited. A participant may not refer themselves using another email address, account, identity, device or other method.
  4. Referrals must be real individuals who independently choose to join Bedside Blitz.
  5. Duplicate, fictitious, automated, temporary, disposable, stolen or otherwise fraudulent accounts and email addresses do not qualify.
  6. Participants may not purchase referrals, use bots or scripts, impersonate Bedside Blitz, use misleading advertising, or distribute referral links through unsolicited mass messages or spam.
  7. Referral attribution is determined by Bedside Blitz records. Bedside Blitz is not responsible for referrals that cannot be attributed because a link was altered, tracking was blocked, another referral code was used, or the referred person registered through another route.
  8. Entries remain subject to verification and may be removed if the underlying referral is invalid.

Bedside Blitz will not disclose a referred person's email address or private account information to the referrer. Referral emails may state only that someone joined, whether the referral is pending or activated, and the participant's recorded referral count.

9. OG Founding Player Badge

An eligible person who joins while the official pre-launch waitlist is accepting registrations and creates a verified Bedside Blitz account using the same email address by the end of the Challenge Period will receive the permanent digital OG badge, subject to verification.

The badge is a cosmetic account feature with no cash value and cannot be transferred. It is not part of the US$3,000 prize pool and does not affect the odds of winning except where the participant separately qualifies for the Waitlist Bonus Entry.

The badge may be withheld or removed from an account that is duplicated, fraudulent, suspended or otherwise violates the Bedside Blitz Terms of Use.

10. Winner Selection

Daily Prize Draws

After each Daily Entry Period, one provisional Daily Prize winner will be selected randomly from all valid entries received for that Daily Entry Period.

Each Daily Prize draw will take place after the associated Daily Entry Period closes and the relevant entries have been validated. If someone who has already won a Daily Prize is selected again, another participant will be selected.

Grand Prize Draw

After the Challenge Period ends and the Grand Prize entries have been validated, one provisional Grand Prize winner will be selected randomly from all valid Grand Prize entries received during the Challenge Period.

Daily Prize winners remain eligible for the Grand Prize.

Entries may be reviewed, corrected, removed or disqualified before or after a provisional winner is selected if they are invalid or violate these Rules.

11. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning a Daily Prize depend on the number of valid entries received during that Daily Entry Period.

The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the total number of valid Grand Prize entries received during the Challenge Period.

Gameplay score, accuracy, medical knowledge, response speed, confidence selection and leaderboard position do not affect the odds of winning.

12. Winner Notification and Verification

A provisional winner will be contacted through the email address associated with their verified Bedside Blitz account and may also receive an in-product notification.

To be confirmed as a winner, the provisional winner must respond within the period stated in the notification email, which will be at least 48 hours, and:

  1. Confirm their full legal name, age, place of residence and prize-delivery information;
  2. Provide reasonable evidence of identity and eligibility if requested;
  3. Confirm compliance with these Rules;
  4. Complete any reasonable prize-acceptance, tax or release documentation; and
  5. If required for a Canadian winner, correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance.

If a provisional winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the period stated in the notification email, declines the prize, fails verification, answers a required skill-testing question incorrectly or violates these Rules, that person will be disqualified and another provisional winner may be selected randomly.

A confirmed winner will be announced on the official Bedside Blitz Instagram page using their Bedside Blitz username, country or territory and prize amount. The winner will also be notified privately at the email address associated with their verified Bedside Blitz account. Permission will be obtained before publishing a winner's legal name, photograph, personal social-media handle, testimonial or other identifying content not already public within Bedside Blitz.

13. Entry Records and Corrections

Bedside Blitz database and server records determine whether an entry or referral was received, completed, attributed and validated.

Any displayed or emailed entry count, referral count or status remains subject to verification and correction. A temporary display, email or tracking error does not create an entitlement to an entry or prize.

Entry and referral records may be reviewed and corrected by the Bedside Blitz team before prizes are awarded if a system inconsistency, duplicate record, technical error or invalid entry is identified. Passwords and authentication codes will never be requested for this purpose.

14. Prohibited Conduct

An account, referral or entry may be disqualified or removed if the Bedside Blitz team reasonably believes that a participant has:

  • Created or controlled multiple accounts;
  • Used false, misleading, incomplete or stolen information;
  • Manipulated or attempted to manipulate account creation, case completion, referral attribution, scorecards, entry counts, random selection or winner verification;
  • Used bots, scripts, automation, account farms or disposable emails;
  • Referred themselves or coordinated fictitious referrals;
  • Interfered with another participant's participation;
  • Distributed referral links through spam, deception, threats or unlawful conduct;
  • Violated these Rules or the Bedside Blitz Terms of Use; or
  • Undermined the fairness, security or intended operation of the Challenge.

Multiple people using the same school, hospital, residence or internet connection will not automatically be disqualified. Those factors may be considered together with other evidence when investigating suspicious activity.

15. Technical Problems and Changes

Bedside Blitz is not responsible for lost, delayed, incomplete, misdirected, corrupted or unrecorded entries caused by technical failures, internet outages, email filtering, device incompatibility, browser settings, blocked tracking, incorrect information, unauthorized account access or events outside reasonable control.

If a technical problem materially prevents participation in a Daily Entry Period, the Bedside Blitz team may extend the affected deadline, reopen the case, provide a substitute entry opportunity, postpone a draw or take another reasonable step to preserve fairness.

The Challenge may be suspended, modified or cancelled if fraud, security incidents, platform failures, legal restrictions or other circumstances materially interfere with its integrity or operation. If the Challenge ends early, available prizes may be awarded from eligible entries received before the interruption where practical.

Typographical, administrative or technical errors in these Rules or related materials may be corrected, provided that a correction does not materially reduce an entry or prize already validly earned.

16. Privacy

Personal information collected for the Challenge may be used to:

  • Administer entries and referrals;
  • Operate Bedside Blitz accounts;
  • Prevent fraud and abuse;
  • Contact and verify potential winners;
  • Deliver prizes;
  • Maintain Challenge records; and
  • Send marketing communications where the participant has agreed to receive them.

Challenge participation does not require consent to unrelated marketing communications. Email preferences may be changed through the unsubscribe link or another method described in the Bedside Blitz Privacy Policy.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Bedside Blitz Privacy Policy made available through the Bedside Blitz website and product.

17. Responsibility and Release

To the fullest extent permitted, participants agree that the Bedside Blitz team and people helping administer the Challenge will not be responsible for losses, damages, liabilities or expenses arising from participation in the Challenge or the acceptance, possession, use, misuse or delivery of a prize, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Rules removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

Bedside Blitz is an educational game and is not medical advice, clinical instruction or a substitute for professional education, supervision or judgment. Challenge eligibility is unrelated to a participant's medical competence or fitness to practise.

18. Social and Messaging Platforms

Participants may choose to share Bedside Blitz scorecards or referral links through social-media or messaging platforms. Sharing alone does not create an entry; only qualifying referrals completed under these Rules create referral entries.

Participants must follow the rules of any platform they use and must not falsely imply that a platform is affiliated with or administering the Challenge.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

Subject to rights that cannot legally be limited, the Challenge and these Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.

Any dispute will be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Ontario unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If any provision of these Rules is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

20. Winner Announcements

Confirmed winners will be announced on the official Bedside Blitz Instagram page and notified privately at the email address associated with their verified Bedside Blitz account.

These Rules take effect when they are published and remain applicable throughout the Challenge unless amended in accordance with Section 15.
